Environmental Geophysics:
Geophysical techniques are
commonly used for environmental engineering. They can be used to locate
buried objects such as underground storage tanks (UST) and map landfill
boundaries. They are also useful for detecting leachate and revealing
contamination migration pathways.
Geophysical techniques are
non-invasive and cost effective in assessing environmental hazards. For
these reasons, geophysical techniques are recognized and recommended by
the EPA, state agencies, and environmental consultants.
